Description: 530-01-8424 Billie Andrews 64, native to Rice, TX born June 7 1913 , Grad of Wink HS moved to Cal 1936 (same as Mamie) She was stricken in Fresno while visiting her son. Survivors 2 sons, Smitty Andrews of Fresno, Bill Andrews of San Andreas, Daughter Jhonnie Herb of Merced, Brother Arnold Smith of Santa Rosa: a sister Lola Mae Fields of Grass Valley: and 8 grand kids. Service held a Chapel of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary Rev Robert Roy private burial will follow.

1929-1930 Sophomore. She was ducheas for Sophomore class with Fay Cass. Business manager of Whirlwind Staff(school newsletter). She was the president of the Calliopean Literacy Club(picture). She and Anna Mae "Hot Shot" Tyra organized a pep squad on Sept 1929 (picture). The clever and colorful uniforms of white trousers, orange sweaters and tams carried out the school colors. Sweaters were awarded the cheer leaders Willie and "Hot Shot". Basketball girls won 7 out of 9 games played. There was no girls basketball team last year. Captain Willie Smith was a forward. After the season they were all awarded with a bright orange-and-white coat sweater with a Large "W" on the left side. 1930-1931 Junior.(Picture) She was class President. Still the Business Manager of the Whirlwind Staff. She was a Pep Leader one of 4 members. She was also still the forward of the basketball team. 1931-1932 Senior. She was not listed on the basketball team, pep squad team or cheerleader team. 11/4/1933 married Earl Andrews in Carlsbad, Eddy Cty, NM.

1955 Tax return she worked at Gold Bowl made $1532.35 income, waitress and profit from business was $312.45. Smitty still at home. She lived at 341 E Bennet St, Grass Valley, CA. 1975 Retirement from Nevada Cty Sheriff's Dept as Captain Billie as matron-dispatcher.
