"Captain Williamson Ball (1736-1793) ... m3) circa 1765 Priscilla (Churchill) Spann, childless widow of his cousin Richard Spann (1738-1764) [Hayden, #30, p. 245] and daughter of Colonel Armisted Churchill (1704-1763) and his wife nee Hannah Harrison (1706-1776) of Bushy Park, Middlesex County, by whom he had four daughters and one son. ... The five children of Captain Williamson and Priscilla (Churchill) Ball were: - Priscilla Ball m. Colonel Walker Tomlin (q.v., p. 218); - Judith Ball m. John Short, Gentleman (q.v., p. 186); - Lucy Harrison Ball m. Newman B. Barnes (q.v., p. 10); - Margaret Williamson Ball m. John W. [15 Feb 1777: Williamson Ball and wife made a deed to Peter Conway. The release deed of Peter Conway names them as "Williamson Ball and Priscilla his wife." The words are: "Whereas, Rich'd Spann, by his last will and testament, dated Feb. 14, 1764, did bequeath to his wife, Priscilla Spann (now the wife of Williamson Ball, gent, party to these presents), during her natural life, all the negroe slaves of the said Richard Spann," &c, &c.]
