Mackay At Aultrarie, Brora on Jan 8th, Williamina Ross, widow of John Mackay
Obituary
The late Mrs Mackay, Aultrarie, Brora.
The death is announced of Mrs Mackay, widow of Mr John Mackay, Aultrarie, and mother of our esteemed townsman Mr Andrew Mackay, plumber, Golspie. Mrs Mackay was the oldest in West Clyne District. Her long and useful life was spent in her old home at Aultrarie. Since the death of her husband a little over a year ago her interest in life was not as keen as usual, but to those around her it was not surprising that the loss of her partner in life for the long and happy period of 53 years was a sore trial to her.
She is survived by 3 sons and 4 daughters and a son looked after her with devoted care in her last illness.
The funeral took place on Friday 10 inst to the old Burying ground at Clyne and was largely attended.
Pastor Tait, Golspie Free Church and Rev John Tolmie, Brora United Free Church conducted services in the house and Rev John Spark parish minister of Clyne officiated at the grave.
