William J. (son of Jacob and Caroline Bolton Zahniser), b. 1857; m. 1880 Anna M. Hines (d. 1906). Learned the arpenter's trade with his fathr and soon became a successful building contractor. He is also sebor member of the firm of Zahniser & Clark, wholesale lmber dealers, and prominent in may other business connections. He is a Republican and has served in select council. His present residence is at Oakmont, PA.
