From The Westfall Country Book-year of birth may be wrong. The book has also 1867. Gencircles dbase shows May 1864. He married to cousin Sarah Ritchie. They spent several years on the homestead the bought 120 acres of the James Madden ranch in 1904. Widow Ritchie had money and set up Bill to farm. They separated and she sold the ranch and moved to Worland, Wyoming in 1905.

From The Westfall Country Book-He was one of Westfall's most beloved citizens.

1920 Census Oregon shows he was 54 so 1867 looks more probable. I will change dbase.

1880 Census West Virginia shows he was 16 which supports the 1864 year. I will keep looking and compare information.

www.ghosttowns.com/states/or/Westfall.html states that he came to Westfall when he was 18 years of age in 1883. Correct per DC.

Sarah and William were first cousins. On daughter Ethel's & son Raymond's delayed BC she listed Virginia as his birthplace.

Either these children were from another marriage or this couple remarried. Could this be a second marriage (1903)?? Children Ethel (born 1895) and Raymond (born 1898) show William and Sarah as parents. Sarah deserted William in 1905.

In Pioneer Cemetery there is a Wm Westfall that died the same year as Minnie June Westfall but her husband clearly died later. Who what this William?
