This is a transcription from the death duty register (12 May 1808): I give to my son James Ward the sum of 50 lbs to be by my executors applied for putting him out apprentice. I direct that all my Stock in Trade, Household Goods, Personal Estate and Effects to be sold by my executors as soon as conveniently may be after my decease - I Give and Bequeath the half part thereof unto my two sons Joseph Ward and William Ward to be paid them respectively within twelve months next after my death. I direct the remaining half part to be placed out to Interest and the one half of the Interest thereof to be paid to my wife for and during her life and the other half of the Interest to be applied for the use of my said son James during his minority and after the decease of my said wife I give one half of the Principal money unto my three sons Joseph William and James equally between them and on my son James attaining his age of twenty one years I Give and Bequeath the other half of the Principal unto him my said son James 20 March 1807??
