    7 Apr 1778: Account of Martha Walker administratrix of William Walker late of Petersham deceased, allowed. 2 Jan 1781: Further account allowed. To keep her thirds, to pay William Walker eldest son double share, to children Jotham, Molly, Elijah, Lydia, John, Rufus & James.
    12 Apr 1781: Division of real estate of William Walker late of Petersham Deceased: to Martha Walker for her thirds; to William Walker the eldest son, he paying Erasmus Babbit and his wife Molley, John Wilder Ju'r guardian for Elijah Walker, to Martha Walker guardian for John, Rufus and James Walker; to Jotham Walker the next son, he paying Martha Walker as guardian for James and Lydia Walker.

  4. The identification of William Walker of Petersham as this person is based on his age at death and finding no other William Walker of appropriate birth. No contradicting facts are known, but no direct evidence has been found either (father appears to have no probate). Barry, p. 430, indicates that two brothers of William (James and Phinehas) were of Rutland, which appears somewhat in line with the proposed migration for William.
