  4. ↑ The identification of William Walker of Petersham as this person is based on his age at death and finding no other William Walker of appropriate birth. No contradicting facts are known, but no direct evidence has been found either (father appears to have no probate). Barry, p. 430, indicates that two brothers of William (James and Phinehas) were of Rutland, which appears somewhat in line with the proposed migration for William.
