(1871); lie by Presb. of St Andrews 2nd Nov. 18 assistant at St Andrews ; ord. to North Parish, Greenock, 10th August 1871 ; tri (assistant and successor) to Kelso 10th Sept. 1874 ; trans, and adm. 7th June 1877 ; D.D. (St Andrews 1891) ; res. 2 March 1901 : died at Perth 20th Jan. 1920. He marr. (1) 16th April 1872, Margaret Mather Crawford (died 30th March 18 daugh. of Alexander Hill, D.D., min.
