The household included two free white males aged 16 to 25, one free white male over age 45, one free white female aged 10-16 and one free white female over age 45 (1800 United States Census, Taunton, Bristol county, Massachusetts, Page 358, FHL Microfilm 0,205,612). In the 1810 United States Census, William Sever was a head of household residing in Taunton town, Bristol County, Massachusetts. The household included one free white male over age 45 and one free white female over age 45 (1810 United States Census Population Schedule, Taunton, Bristol County, Massachusetts, Page 378, FHL Microfilm 0,205,625). A death notice for William Sever was published in the 5 August 1815 edition of the "Columbian Centinel" newspaper of boston. It reads: "Sever, William Maj., d. in Taunton, 28th ult. aged 72."
