In the 1870 US census, the William Seaver family resided in Ashland, Middlesex County, MA. The household included William (age 64, manufactures boots, $5,000 in real property, $500 in personal property, born MA), Sarah (age 65, keeping house, born MA), Charlotte E. (age 32, no occupation, born MA), Sarah A. Montague (age 39, born MA) and Clifton E. Montague (age 9, at school, born MA). [LDS Microfilm 0,552,221, page 28 of Ashland, family #245].

William Seaver, widower, aged 80-6-12, undertaker, died 5 April 1887 in Ashland, Middlesex County, MA of a cancerous humor. No birthplace was listed; his parents were listed as Luman and Charlotte Seaver. [MA VR 383.49].
