Freeman 13 Mar. 1638-9; com.t.e.s.c. 1639; gr.j. 1640; hogreeve 1644. … In 1645 he deeded his Newb. and Hampt. prop. to John and Martha Sherman in consid. of dau. Martha's release of land in Great Ormesby, co. Norfolk, in which she had an int. of £105; hence likely he was the Wm. of Ormesby St. Margaret cited there in Sept. 1636 for abs. from Ch., who appeared not and was excommun. Wm. of Ormesby m. Mary Stamforth in nearby Ransworth 30 June 1608. See also Essex Q. Ct. Rec. 2:347-9; N.E.Reg. 69:342. Liv. 30 May 1647; 6 Oct. fol. his s. Christopher was acting for the wid.
