William Moles was baptised on 24th June 1750, son of Ann Moles, formerly Collop, and her husband William Moles, a labourer.

William does not appear to have married. His father died in 1768, when William was seventeen.

William worked as a labourer. He died aged 43, and was buried at Stotfold on 18th November 1793. His mother outlived him.

    It is possible that this burial might actually be William's father, and that this William was the one who died in 1768. However, if this William was the one who died in 1768 he would only have been 17, thus you might expect the parish register to have described him as "son of William and Ann" or "William Moles junior". On the balance of probability therefore it seems more likely that it was William senior who died in 1768 and William junior in 1793.
