William was first married to a woman by the first name of Dorothy, in Raymondville, Texas. Dorothy died very young of TB, and he then married Luella DeWitt Simpson in Mexico. Luella and William met while they (both?) worked in McKee's Drug store, in Raymondville. After being married, they moved to Houston, but eventually settled permanently in Corpus Christi. William became the owner-manager of ABC Mills Rents, at 420 South Staples in Corpus Christi Texas.
