3 October 1906 (p. 3 of item) Answer #8833 - 1. Liscomb. A William Luscombe (spelled Luscom) was in Scarboro with a wife Susanna in 1669, named in Church matters and court records in 1674, being Episcopalians, and not constant in attendance at the Puritan meetings.

The Luscomb Family First Generation William Luscomb, the first of the name in Salem, MA, was a cooper, and appears on the county deeds, 4 Dec. 1680, when he bought of Mark Haskell of Beverly, MA for £27, "a row of houses in which John Blygh now liveth next ye Meeting house, . . . the land formerly pertaining to Abigail Lord." This estate was settled by installments, the last being paid 1 Feb. 1686 by his wife Susannah, during her husband's absence in England. There is no date of his death, or settlement of his estate.

William Luscombe was a cooper and appears in county deeds in Salem in 1680. He made several trips to England, and lived also in Lynn. - p. 117 - Letter from Charles S. Liscom to Margaret A. McLallen, 5 April 1937 [orignal written in pencil) - An Earle Luscombe [Earle-Luscombe?] line in Maine at Black Point Garrison, then at time of Indian troubles retiring to Salem, has been written up in the [Driver] Genealogy.
