Burial[2] 5 Jan 1826 Caddington, Bedfordshire, England

William King was baptised on 27th March 1805 at St Albans in Hertfordshire, son of a straw plaiter named Mary King, formerly Arnold, and her husband Thomas King, a labourer. William was the eldest of the couple's five children. When William was only two or three years old the family left St Albans and moved to Caddington, eleven miles to the north, where the youngest three children were born.

It seems likely that the family was struck by some form of illness at the end of 1825 or begining of 1826; both William and his father Thomas died at about the same time. William was 20 when he died, his father 48. Both were buried at Caddington on 5th January 1826.
