WILLIAM KASSIING, farmer, P.O. Fostoria, was born in Prussia, June 15, 183 6; and settled in New York, Our subject, the youngest in a family of fi ve children, was reared on a farm, received a common school education, a nd has made farming his occupation. He is owner of a farm of seventy sev en and a half acres and, his wife owns a farm of seventy seven and a ha lf acres. He married in 1858, in Jackson Twp thisi CO, Elizabe th Brumm, born in 1833, a daughter of Peter and Maria M. (Brumm) Brumm, f ormer of whom was a successful farmer. To Mr. and Mrs Kassing have bee nn born eleven children: Margaret Elizabeth, Louisa Ellen, Wm Charl es (deceased), Augusta Amelia (deceased), Wm, John Peter, Msry Ann a, Clara Ellen, Emma Laura, Charles Henry (deceased) and Ada, now (1885) a ged six years. The family are all members of the Lutheran Church. Mr. K assing is a Democrat in politics. He has been school director.

I have been in contact with Wm's son Wm Grand-daughter Estelne Rhoad still living in Fostoria OH.
