    Mr WILLIAM JOHNSON A. M.
    He was born at Newbury May ye 31st
    1706
    was educated at Harvard College in
    Cambridge,
    and was the first Pastor of the 3d Church
    in Newbury
    with whom for many years he dischargd
    the important Office of the gospel Ministry

    He was a Gentleman of good understanding of
    Uniform unaffected Piety & Virtue of a very
    Amiable temper tender & affectionate in his
    Family conections & a benevolent & faithful friend
    He Departed this life Febry 22d 1772
    In the 40th Year of his Ministry,
    And 66th of his Age.
