Died at St. Paul, Minn., at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C. E. Russell, William Huggett, aged 83 years, 11 months and three days, of paralysis. William Huggett was born at Tunbridge Wells, England, Aug. 9, 1822, where he married Rebecca Marden Jan. 1, 1851, and they immediately came to America and located in Auburn, N. Y., where they remained for four years and then moved to Wisconsin where they lived until 1871, when they moved to Minnesota. In 1883 Mrs. Huggett having died he was attracted to Dakota and came to Webster where he purchased the Tuttle homestead adjoining this city, which has been Mr. Huggett's home ever since. Deceased was a veteran of the Civil war having enlisted in a Wisconsin regiment. He was a kind and loving husband and father and an exemplary citizen. He was taken with his last illness on July 3, and failed rapidly until dissolution came. The remains were brought to this city and the funeral was held from the Congregational church, Rev. W. B. Hubbard, formerly of this city, officiating and the remains were laid to rest in the city cemetery. The deceased leaves seven children to mourn his demise, George, of Asby, [torn], Mrs. Jennie Sanders, Clinton, [torn] W. P. Huggett of Roslyn, Mrs. [torn]kson, Buckingham, Ill., Mrs. [torn] Russell, St. Paul, Minn., Mrs. [torn]tteson, Summit, and Mrs. [torn]tiss, of Webster.
