William Hucklesby was born in 1878 at Luton in Bedfordshire, son of a straw hat sewer named Rebecca Hucklesby, formerly Kempson, and her husband Levi Hucklesby, a hat blocker. William appears in both the 1881 and 1891 censuses at home in south Luton with his parents and siblings.

William has yet to be researched after 1891.
