William Fancher born 6 July 1764 in Poundridge, NY died 3 Feb 1829 Harlem Ohio who married 6 July 1789 Lucy Stark, dau. of William and Polly (Cary) Stark. She was born 30 Dec 1768 in Pawling NY and died 10 Dec 1848 in Harlem OH.William Fancher moved to Plains, PA in 1789 and was in Tunkhannock PA in 1800 and by 1807 was in Harlem, OH. He was a private in Capt. Daniel Bouton's Company, Col. Thaddeus Crane's 4th Regiment of Westchester Militia. He was shot in both feet by accident 10 Jun 1781 and received a pension. He served 9 months and was also in Capt. Schofield's Company, Col. Crane's Regiment. His house in Plains was burned. He also served in the War of 1812 in Capt. Strong's Company of Ohio Militia.
