Took ill with Cancer in May 1918 and suffered greatly. Traveled to many areas to find a cure but with no results. Will Esmon died on Aug. 17, 1919 at 4:30 p.m. .

He left a wife (Suzie) and seven children. He was put to rest in the Corning Cemetery in Corning, Clay County, Arkansas at 3pm on August 18, 1919.
