William Elkins was married to Elizabeth Dickey his first wife. After Elizabeth died he married Eunice Selvidge He had childred with both wives. I'm related to his oldest son Samuel D Elkins who died during the civil War, somewhere in Arkansas. I know William was born in South Carolina. I would like any information that would make a connection with the Elkins in South Carolina, since we have no info on his parents. I have census records on him and several of his children. Some remained in Tennessee and others moved to Missouri and Texas. My line Migrated to Missouri, Colorado and ended up in California where I was born. I now live in Idaho. William Elkins Children are Samuel D.Elkins (moved to Missouri), Nathaniel H. Elkins (moved to Texas),James F.Elkins (moved to Texas),Thomas Elkins (Mcminn County Tennessee), Anna Elkins(?), The twins Lousia and Eliza Elkins,I have info on who they married and where they lived. George Elkins died in the civil war,Elizabeth Polly Elkins?,and John Elkins (Monroe County Tennessee). There is a possible older daughter.

Since I posted this message, I have found a older daughter Rebecca J Elkins born before Samuel D.Elkins. She died in Aug. 1849
