Facts and Events
Is he the W.A. Doolittle of Company C, 14th regiment, buried with his parents and some siblings at Evergreen Cemetery, Winchester, NH? (See Edith Atkins, p. 578.). Stone reads: "W. A. Doolittle, Co. G., 14th NH Inf." He is found living with his parents in 1860, 1870 and 1880; appears to have remained single. No sign of him in 1900 census; nor is he in the 1890 veterans schedule. O.P. Allen (p. 21) says: "unmarried, was a soldier in the war of the Rebellion." References
