    [Note: because this William and another one both lived in Leominster for a time, this source has conflated the two of them. However, even the most rudimentary checking of dates (the marriage to Lucy in 1836, she lived until 1902; the marriage to Martha in 1839, she lived until 1868) would have made it clear that the two women married two different William Damons. The children of both have been indiscriminately lumped into one family even though their births are overlapping.]
