William M. Dailey (from Michelle Kachman) b. 22, Apr. 1836 Tiffen Seneca Co., Ohio d. 07, Apr. 1890 Denver, Arapahoe Co., Colorado He left Indiana when he was 23 years and went to Colorado to mine for gold. His brother, John L. Dailey, was already there. William started a claim on Russell Gulch. Later, he went to Denver to be near his brother John L. He started in the carpentry field moving into the construction of building's in the area. He built the first office of the Rocky Mountain News Paper located in Denver. In 1860, he started ranching on the Platte River. This land was later subdivided as the Lake Archer Subdivision. In 1864, he enlisted in Company A 3rd Colorado Infantry and was part of the battle of Sand Creek.

He and his brother John started a Real estate and Investment Co. in Denver called "Dailey & Company," 1719 Curtis, Denver, Colorado and John L. is listed as sole owner of Dailey & Company 425 Broadway Denver, CO. He was in business in Colorado with his brother in 1869. He is in lots of newspapers for real estate transactions. William died in Denver and his wife had to sue the family for his estate. He is buried there with his Wife and two of his Children at Riverside Cemetery. John is also buried there.
