William Corbet had property transfersin the city of Philadelphia on the following dates: Dec 31, 1835,(?F 12 51) Oct 5, 1839 Southwark (GS9-263) and July 20, 1841 Moyamensing)(Gs 28 663) Unable to deciphercomplete vol and book #s He was a boat builder while in the city of Reading. He was livingin Reading during the 1850 census and until at least 1857 ApparentlyWilliam moved back to Philadelphia before 1859 as he shows up in the 1859city of Philadelphia Directory of Business and Residents at Maurice andCharles St. Maurice St is no,longer in existence. He shows up in the1860 Census and remained there the rest of his life. He was listed inthe city directories as a carpenter. He had a business with his sonCharles, that was located at 719 Filbert St.. At the time of his death hewas living at 1431 Passyunk Avenue. He was buried in Lafayette Cemetarylocated at Federal and Tenth St..His wife Susan was buried there as weremany other Corbits. In the burial records of Lafayette Cemetary.
