William Oliver Conwell, son of Isaac and Rebecca (Conkling) Conwell was born in 1831 in Indiana. On 6 October 1842, in Union County, Indiana he married Julia S. Nutter, daughter of Charles and Elizabeth (Sullivan) Nutter. In her father-in-law’s will she is referred to as Julia A. Conwell. William was a farmer. The 1860 census shows the family living in Liberty (Union County), Indiana. William probably died prior to 3 March 1866 as his father’s will written on that date mentions the children of his son, William Oliver and William’s wife Julia. A. Conwell, but does not otherwise mention William.
