WM. H. CLARK, farmer; P. O. Clintonville; is a son of Robert Clark, Jr., a
prosperous farmer of Bourbon County, and a grandson of Robert Clark, Sr.,
who came from Virginia. His mother was Sarah Ruth Ward, a woman endowed
with many excellent qualities, which fitted her for the delicate task of
rearing a son, and training his feet to pursue the path which leads to
virtue and happiness. She died in 1870. Wm. H. Clark was born Oct. 11,
1853, in Bourbon County, where he received his education. On the 9th of
September, 1873, he was united in marriage to Miss Lulie B. Weathers.
Their union has been blessed with five children: Hattie P., John F.,
Lutie R. (died Sept. 5, 1879), Robert J., and Lulie B. He is a farmer in
a general way and owns 152 acres of land called "Pine Valley." In
religion, himself and wife are both members of the Baptist Church. Like
most of the young men of Kentucky, Mr. Clark is a Democrat in politics.
