    "William1 (Browne) bapt. 5 Dec. 1585, Horley, d. 1650, Long Island, N. Y.; m. 20 June 1611, Rusper, Jane Burgis. William Browne came to New England about the same time as his nephews and nieces, the Fenners, that is, 1646-1647. They possibly all came over together. He went first to Saybrook, Conn., and his son, Henry, settled in Providence, R. I."
