    "Died
In this city on Thursday, May 11th, 1914, William Stafford Brady, an old and respected citizen of Okolona. Mr. Brady was born in the city of New Orleans, La. on the 27th day of December, 1855, and was therefore in his sixtieth year at the time of his demise. He was married in this county to Miss Julia Sheppard on the 28th day of November, 1855, who, with three stalwart sons, all of whom are sober industrions and intelligent young men, a sister, Mrs. P.H. Hynson, of Alexandria, La., and one brother, E.L. Brady, of Newark, Tex., survive the lamented father and brother. Mr. Brady was a quiet, unostentatious man, a model citizen and always cheerful under his long and painful affliction. He was a great lover of children and always had something pleasant to say to them when they passed by his home to which he was confined for years before his death.

Before his affliction came upon him he served this city as Post Master and City Marshal and was a most obliging and popular officer. Our departed friend was a consistent member of the Episcopal Church and his daily walk and conversation was ever such as to beget the confident hope that he has gone from this vail of tears, sorrow and affliction to receive the reward of the pure in heart.

With a heart full of sympathy for his widow and condolence for his dutiful sons, this imperfect tribute is indited by

    A Friend"
