Wm McLean Berryhill bought a lot in Columbia, Maury Co., TN in 1808, and presumably moved there at abt that time. He became a merchant there, having a two-story log building on the public square in Columbia. He was one of the incorporators of the Columbia Water Co. and one of the first trustees of Woodward Academy in Maury County. By 1820 he had moved to Nashville. He is shown there in that census. He and his wife have one son under 10, one between 16 and 26, and two daughters under 10. He died Oct 13, 1836 in Davidson County (Nashville)and is buried in the City Cemetery. His obituary was in The Union newspaper on Oct 15, 1836. "William M. Berryhill, Esq. long favorably known as a merchant and more recently as the Teller of the Union Bank died on the 13th inst." The info I have is that his wife died March 20, 1857 in Philadelphia, PA. The only info I have on their kids is that Harriet C. Berryhill mar. Edward W. B. Nowland on July 8, 1830 in Davidson Co. and Mary L. Berryhill mar. Edward W. Warner in 1834 also in Davidson Co. An infant daughter of Wm. and Mary is buried in City Cemetery
