Facts and Events
William was active in the New Bethel Church and was listed in a history of the church as one of the ministers. He was a farmer and had serious injuries from a threshing machine accident before his death. His tombstone was viewed by me (Betty Pickett) in October 1994 and also in October 2000 at the New Bethel Cemetery and it verified the dates of his birth and death. I have a copy of his marriage certificate to Elizabeth Bane Standiford. I have a copy of his obituary as written in the Christian Standard in June, 1900. He lists his occupation as a farmer in the 1850 Census Glen Easton Township, Marshall Co. West Virginia. Census - 1860, 1870, 1880, 1900. According to the research by Opal Anguish Masters he also lived on the Anguish Farm which later his son Albert (Opal's father) built a new home.
