 William H. Anderson was the 3rd Collector of Cooper County from 18 February 1824 until 2 August  1826.  He was the 6th sherrif of Cooper County - "At the election on the first Monday in August, 1826"  W. H. Anderson was elected  sherrif by  53 majority.

 An inventory of William H. Anderson's estate was done on 7 May 1845, so he had to have died right around this time frame.

 In Virginia Record of Families 1744 - 1890 it states Anderson, William, father, David, Edmund, Nathaniel, while at this time there is no proof that any of these names or this place is a match to this William Hooper Anderson, it is being noted for future referance as a possible clue.
