The Slater family plot is on private property. My sister and I visited the site in 2009 and found it by pure serendipity. We could not find it on the road as listed in library records, so we stopped to ask a young man on a tractor. He graciously offered to help us, saying he thought it was at the farm next to him and would take us there. We followed his tractor to a house and a young girl came out. Her name was Julie and she told us that the family plot was in poor shape and surrounded by barbed wire, but she would take us there if we wanted. So we hopped a tall fence into a horse pasture and tromped to the back of her property. Here was a small area under trees surrounded by barbed wire fence and only one monument. My sister held the wire fence down and I climbed over to take pictures. The only tombstone was for Rebecca's parents, Richard and Anna Slater. This plot was full of long grass, bushes, and mosquitoes. (Oh yes, I needed insect bite cream next.) I also found an old stone in the ground which could have been a tombstone a long time ago, but no carving found on it. I think I identified the two spruce trees where William Perry Adney was supposedly buried, but no tombstone found. A plaque was supposedly ordered by someone for his grave because he was a Civil War veteran, but there was no plaque there. Sad to say it could have been was stolen.
