Born in Larimer, a son of the late Charles B. and Theresa L. Thornton Watson. Wayne was an Irwin-North Huntingdon 1949 high school graduate. He was a Korean War veteran, having served in the Army for four years and was a sergeant. Upon graduation, he started his own family and friends plumbing and heating business working in his tri-borough area. In 1960, he was employed by Westinghouse, working with the nuclear research team. Later, he joined team co-worker and friend, Peter Gaal, to help form ANTER Laboratories Inc. He was led to retirement with 45-plus years of service. He loved to hunt, fish and also take care of his beloved family. He was a lifelong member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Larimer.
