Corey that the said W. J. Corey died in the town of Lynxville in the county of Crawford and the state of Wisconsin and that our post office address is Lynxville Crawford County State of Wisconsin." Corey who enlisted under the name of Warner J. Corey at Maysville, Wisconsin in Co. E of the 3rd Regt. Wis. Vol. Infty & was also at one time a member of Co. B in 10th Reg. Wis. Vol. Infty. in the war of The Rebellion, who while member of said Co. & Regt. was wounded as shown by his Pension Certificate No. 20228 and proofs filed therein and also wounded in left thigh very severely and captured at Buzzard Run and who contracted a chronic disease of the Kidneys from exposure and ill usage while confined in Andersonville and other Confederate prisons and of which disorder I believe he died."
