   Let me tell you about my uncle Walter Franklin Schlupp.   If you lo ok at his senior picture in the 1942 Toledo Libbey High yearbook, you wi ll notice two things--- first, how young Walter looks, and second, he is p ictured immediately to the right of John Saunders, one of Toledo OH's pio neer TV newsmen.
 It is ironic that I have vivid memories of Mr. Saunders talking to me ov er the television airways, but I have no living memories of Walte r.   As a young four-year-old my last memories of Walter are of looki ng at a flag draped casket, rifles shooting into the air, a bugle playi ng taps, and my grandmother Agnes, seated quietly,   weeping as the fold ed flag was placed in her hands.
 You see Walter as many brave Uncles gave up his life in order that his n ieces, nephews, and other family members could live in peace.   If you lo ok in the Toledo phone book you will see no Schlupp's listed.   Walter w as the sole surviving male Schlupp.   But if you have talked to a Henderso n, Kinsel, or Shultz, you may have met one of those family members for wh om he died and who hold Walter and his fallen comrades in the highest este em.
