Sadly, Walter drowned himself in the cistern of his home in ReginaS4. One can speculate that the stock market crash and the start of the Great Depression drove him to this. He was a Credit and Collections ManagerS10 for John Deere Plow Company, so I am sure his job had become very stressful by this point in the Great Depression. His estate also included a modest number of stocks, which may have become greatly devalued, contributing to his state of mind.
