Walter was third child (and third son) of Fred and Sophia Hitzemann. He died of diptheria before reaching his second birthday.

    Baptism record calls him Walter Harry, birth date 21 Aug 1898, baptism year 1898. Death record calls him Walther Harry, gives birth date as 21 Aug 1898, death date as 10 Jun 1900, and age at death as 1y, 9m, 18d. This doesn't add up, so one of these figures is wrong. Since Walter is recorded on the June 1900 census, and the birth date agrees on two records, it is probably the age at death that is wrong.
