16 Feb 1829: "we the subscribers widow and Children of Walter Haynes yeoman Late of Sudbury in Said County Deceased intestate hereby decline the administration of his estate and request that Paul Walker yeoman of Sudbury in the County aforesaid may be appointed". Signed Anne hayns widow of the deseased, Walter Haynes.
3 Mar 1829: Petition of Paul Walker of Sudbury that "Walter Haynes, yeoman, who last dwelt in said Sudbury, within one year last past died intestate, ... leaving a widow & several children, that his widow and the only child of age have declined the administration of his estate, & requested that your Petitioner should be appointed to that trust". Gave bond the same date.
10 Apr 1829: Inventory of all the estate of Walter Haynes late of Sudbury deceased by Abner Goodnow, William Rice, Tilly Smith: $4393.91. Lists of debts and charges: $4242.14.
22 Mar 1830: set off to Anna Haynes the widow of the said deceased for her dower or thirds. Countersigned by Anne haynes, Walter Haynes, and Elisha Wheeler Esquire.
13 Apr 1830: Complaint of Walter Haynes heir at law that Elisha W. Haynes of said Sudbury, laborer & a son of said intestate has concealed embezzled or conveyed away a load of potatoes & a quantity of hay & diverse sums of money, part of said estate of said deceased. Elisha Wheeler Haynes cited to appear to answer complaint. Complaint dismissed when complainant does not appear.
Estate insolvent. Suits over disallowed claims. 14 Feb 1832: creditors paid $0.41 per dollar.
