BEAL Walter M. Beal, 68, former resident of Black Hawk township, died Saturday evening near Milan, Minn., where he had operated a farm for the past 30 years, relatives here reported Monday. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at Milan. He was born on April 12, 1874, on a farm in Black Hawk township. His wife preceded him in death in 1939. Surviving are six sons and two daughters. Two sisters, Mrs. G. R. Huntington, 518 Baltimore street, Waterloo, and Mrs. H. N. Butterfield, Cedar Falls, and one brother Charles M. Beal, Washington, D. C., also survive. Additional Comments: He married Mary Edna Sweitzer. Son of Jesse Lichty Beal and Caroline Miller s/o Daniel Nicholas Beal and Mary Lichty s/o Nicholas Beal and Mary Hardin s/o Jacob Beal and Maria Barbara Geringer Children: Alice Pearl, Jay L., William Bernice, Quincy Allen, Edna Victoria, Ivan Willard, and Lloyd Sweitzer Beal.
