Walter's nick-name was "Uncle Bobe". He and his older brother Victor Hugo looked alike.

Letter dated Sept. 28, 1972 Dear Dot & Ed, I am enclosing a chart of the Paulsen Family Tree which is as complete as I am able to get informatin on. as you probably know it is next to impossible to trace back any farther on my dad's side than to his father & mother, as the last names changed before that. A son's last name was his father's first name, with "sen" (son) added. Thus my father's last name "Poulsen" (Paulsen in English) is that because he was the son of Poul Krogh. And my grandmother's name was Maren Berthelsdatter because she was the daughter (datter) of Berthel (but Berthel who, I don't know and can't find out.) Evidently my dad's first name was from his mothers last name. Probably you know all this as I understnad your dad, and also Carl, were doing something along this line. In fact I wrote to Carl for some info that had slipped my mind. I am enclosing an extra copy that you can give to Dave when you see him. I don't have his address so can't send it direct to him. I gave Carl a copy in the spring of this year and intended to give one to all that might be interested but neglected to do so because we went on a trip to northwestern U.S. and Canada, then summer and lots to do around home, but I thot I had better send it on now before any more marriages or children in the fold, because as you can see I am running out of room on the paper, so will call this the first & final edition. How are all of you. Hope all in good health. We are O.K. except I still am and probably always will be troubled with angina pectoris. Walking any distance seems to bother it more than anything except something rather exerting. Myrna and family back in Denver at present after spending the winter in Ashcroft, British Columbia. Just had a letter from her. Looks now as if they will be moving to Tacoma, Wash. for a year or two, for the company. Come see us if you get in this neck of the woods. Your Uncle "Bobie"
