  • ICE, Virginia Louise, 84, of 801 Clearview Terrace, New Martinsville, W.Va., formerly of Pine Grove, and Mannington, went to be with the Lord Monday, January 8, 2007 in the New Martinsville Health Care Center. She was born October 16, 1922 in Hastings, W.Va., the daughter of the late Arlie and Rozena Postlethwait Willey.

Virginia has played the piano and sang in several churches in the area; and she graduated from Pine Grove High School class of 1941. She was preceded in death by one brother, Dr. Harold Willey.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ray Ice. Ray and Virginia were married for 60 years this past February. In addition, she is survived by a daughter, Darlene (John) Johnston of Pine Grove, W.Va.; two grandchildren, Kevin (Selena) Johnston of Morgantown, W.Va. and Elizabeth (Joseph) Vale of Little Rock, Ark.; three great-grandchildren, Madison Raye and Avery Lauren Johnston and Trinity Elizabeth Vale. She is also survived by a twin sister, Mildred Elouise Cain of Garrettsville, Ohio; two brothers, Wilbert (Francis) Willey of Ashtabula, Ohio and Norman Willey of Middletown, Del.; a sister-in-law, Merle Willey of Huntington, W.Va.; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law from Ray's family; and nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received 2-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Palmer Funeral Home, Pine Grove, where services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Ron Acord delivering the Eulogy.
