 Violet V. Arnold, 78 of Meyersdale, died April 4, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md. born Aug. 2, 1920, in Finzel, Md., daughter of the late Edward G. and Velma (Wagner) Baker.  Survived by her husband of 58 years, Owen F. Arnold, and five daughters: Shelba, wife of Roland Coburn, Jamesville, NC; Jane, wife of Paul Brode and Mildred, both of Frostburg, Md.; Lois, wife of Dennis Cook, Corriganville, Md., and Darlene, wife of John Bull, Pasadena, Md.  Also 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Three brothers and three sisters: Carl Baker, Finzel, Md.; Edward Baker,  Heath, Ohio; Everett Baker, Rock Hill, SC; June Fissell, Fort Washington, Md.; Lillian Crowe, Frostburgh, Md., and Janice Wilhelm, Walton Hills, Ohio.  A member of the New Hope United Church of Christ.  Friends will be  received from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Wednesday at the Price Funeral Home Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at 11 am Thursday, with Pastor Lamar Bender officiating.  Interment, Greenville Union Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the New Hope United Church of Christ, Meyersdale.
