'CRESSMAN, JOSEPH, the eldest [child of John and Esther (Wismer) Cressman], was born August 4th, 1819. On May 11th, 1841, he was married to Veronica Shantz. She was born October 27th, 1819, and died in Breslau, Ontario, September 7th, 1893. They resided on the farm now possessed by their son, Moses, where he died January 6th, 1888.'
