We do not know the name of the parents, but according to Sarah Jane Parris Sutton's application for Indian money, Bailis Turner was the brother to her grandmother, Anna Turner Trammell. DNA testing has confirmed Bailis was a descendant of Richard Turner, who was born in Cornwall, England and died in Caroline County, VA after 8 Oct 1842. Which son was Bailis' ancestor has not been determined as of yet!
