Torrey does not name her, but both Deane and Stetson identify her as widow Susanna Dunham of Plymouth. Since neither of those sources mention second wife Susanna (Hanford) Whiston, and Stetson calls her niece of Mr. Timothy Hatherly, it is difficult to have confidence that Brooks' first wife was also a Susanna. 

    She died after 1659, and by 1665.
