HOMER, LA - Funeral services will be held for Troy H. Sanders,79, at the First United Methodist Church in Homer on Monday,July 25, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. with Dr. James Simeon officiating.Interment will follow at Adkins cemetery. The family willreceive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 5:00 – 8:00p.m.

Mr. Sanders was born June 16, 1926 to Jesse J. and Addie MaudeSanders. He entered into rest Friday, July 22, 2005 inShreveport following a brief illness. Mr. Sanders was a mechanicfor Pearson Motors, Maddox and May Brothers and Tiger PowerTongs with many years of service. He was a U.S. Army Veteran ofthe Korean Conflict, an avid camper and a longtime member of theFirst Baptist Church in Homer.

Mr. Sanders was preceded in death by his parents; also threebrothers, Billie Gene Sanders, Charles Drew Sanders and GeorgeM. Sanders, Sr.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Iris Sanders; sons, DougSanders and wife, Nan of Broken Arrow, OK, Mark Sanders andwife, Sherry of Boise, ID and Tommy Sanders and wife, Cindy ofHomer; brothers, Raymond Sanders and wife, Peggy Jo of Homer andWinfred Sanders and wife, Helen of La Crescenta, CA;grandchildren, Laine, Laura, Michelle, Clint, Holly, Vicky,Terry, Shanna and Kevin; great-grandchildren, Zack, Mackenzie,Blake, Colton, Riley, Caitlyn and Matt; numerous nieces, nephewsand other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be John Monzingo, Casey Lyles, Matt Harris,Clint Sanders, Brad Chandler, Mike Sanders, Wayne Tanner andRandy Pugh.

Honorary pallbearer will be Ronnie Perry.

For friends considering memorials to Mr. Sanders, his familysuggests the First Baptist Church.
