    Timothy (Shepard), b. (Hartford) 7 June 1698, d. 6 Apr. 1716. … Timothy Shepard of Hartford, late resident of Milford, bought land in Derby 2 Jan. 1714/15 from John Pringle of Derby, and being of Hartford sold it 2 Aug. 1715 to Samuel Bassett. Despite his extreme youth, there is no other Timothy Shepard of Hartford to whom the records can apply, and presumably he had been living in Milford with his eldest brother John.
