    "Ford, Timothy. He was an original signer of the New Haven Covenant, 1639, and took the oath of allegiance 1644. He removed to Fairfield, where he was a land owner before 1650. He returned to New Haven, where he was fined in 1652 for defect in his arms, and being a new comer, he said that the requirements were different 'where he came from.' He d. at New Haven, 28 Aug. 1684, his wife having d. 25 July 1681. He had five children, who remained in New Haven."
